It's worked so well for the farm bill, the THUD bill, the budget, and the sequester, it's no wonder conservatives want to try it again.<br /><br />I agree with andrew, too, that "going home" within days of convening after the August recess is a non-starter. The problem is that if they stick around Washington, they might be expected to do a little work on these bills they say they want. Or haggle on the others. Maybe they stay in DC for that week, and reschedule the week off. But are they really going to take it starting Oct. 1, with the CR deadline the day before? I doubt it, as they would be in extreme danger of being labeled AWOL, as you point out.andrew longnoreply@blogger.com
