It's too disproportionate somehow.<br /><br />I am wondering however if the Speaker's oped and his campaign to blame Obama for the sequester is a preliminary to House GOPers voting to cancel the sequester to prevent Obama from compromising national defense and ruining the economy, as they would play it.<br /><br />In other words declare victory and go home. E.g.reduce farm subsidies or other stuff Dems might tolerate cuts for a few more months of time. It's tempting, but it won't be too long before we run out of less painful cuts and there will still be a trillion or so still to be sequestered, with a precedent of refusing revenue well established.Consumatopianoreply@blogger.com
