But I don't think that's an explanation for S-B.

I think what would be similar are single-payer advocates who are upset with the GOP for not supporting ACA. Right? But it's not quite the same, because at least within Congress all the single-payer Dems were willing to vote for ACA. Everyone likes to make fun of it, and many people (especially newspeople, it seems) would rather declare something inexplicable than make an effort to understand it. It struck me while listening to a radio discussion this morning of a poll in New Jersey in which people said they trusted insurance companies more than government and they wanted Medicare to remain in the hands of the government and not turned over to insurance companies. It all makes sense if it reflects a general fear of change from whatever the norm is now in a particular category or subcategory: whatever changes will only change for the worse. So, keep your hands off my Medicare, whoever you are and regardless of who runs it.Scott Monjenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6926413038778731189.post-83363671113769629352012-10-10T20:08:54.074-05:002012-10-10T20:08:54.074-05:00Poor Dusty.Poor Dusty.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6926413038778731189.post-70211576386781527782012-10-10T17:11:07.047-05:002012-10-10T17:11:07.047-05:00There is some vague possibility of that. There is some vague possibility of that.Jonathan Bernsteinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15931039630306253241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6926413038778731189.post-53492129846228364492012-10-10T17:01:49.769-05:002012-10-10T17:01:49.769-05:00By chance, that is.By chance, that is.Mon-sewer Paul Regrethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04918972562626522624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6926413038778731189.post-90612930037462194072012-10-10T17:01:28.219-05:002012-10-10T17:01:28.219-05:00There wouldn't, be chance, be a connection bet...There wouldn't, be chance, be a connection between the first paragraph and the last?Mon-sewer Paul Regrethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04918972562626522624noreply@blogger.com
