Sunday Question for Conservatives

Are you rooting for a government shutdown in March? Hoping that a deal can be cut to prevent one? If it happens, how do you think it ends?

  1. No, I don't want one. However, a deal isn't in the cards - the factions are too far apart. There are also too many people who think a shut-down will help their cause (some to bring about a smaller government and some to win politically). I see these splits both left and right.

So I think a shut-down is inevitable. As for an ultimate outcome, let’s see how Wisconsin plays out. BTW: Was Madison really, “named for the founder who warned us about the dangers of factions acting against the public interest?”
