To the Barricades for Modest Deficit Reduction!

So the new official Republican position is: we refuse to allow a debt limit increase to pass, even though it risks massive harm to the economy, unless Democrats agree to a deficit reduction plan...as long as it's not a really big deficit reduction plan.
