1. I basically agree with much of what Kevin Drum says about 2009 (other than what I said yesterday about what more I think was plausible in the first couple of months).

2. A Wisconsin recall report from political scientist Jim Melcher, guest-posting on Amy Fried's excellent blog.

3. And I'll recommend something that I haven't yet read: Monica Potts has a reported piece on poverty in Kentucky that I understand is very good.
