Updates of Various Kinds

Why is your Plain Blogger in a good mood today? Well, let's just say that I'm also Jewish, also from Arizona, and also like toast. Great news from Houston about Gabrielle Giffords.

Also, regular readers won't find anything new, but I guess I should link to an op-ed I had in the NYT today about judicial nominations, making the point that part of the reason for all the vacancies is that Barack Obama hasn't placed a high priority on it.

While I'm at it: in my post yesterday about the political attractiveness of hopeless causes (and see Jamelle Bouie for more on the topic),  I somehow managed to forget to link back to my recent contest: how many constitutional amendments will reach the House floor during this Congress? If you're willing to play, leave your picks at the original post.

  1. The Times! It's terribly shallow of me to care about the name brand, I know, but still -- that feels worth a mazel tov.

  2. Congrats on the Op-Ed! Very Cool.

Just curious did they delete your occupation as a Political Scientist or did you just not include it.
