Read Stuff, You Should

Happy Birthday to Genevieve Bujold, 71.

And a bit of good stuff:

1. Jonathan Chait on Glen Greenwald.

2. Mark Kirk's return to the Senate, from Matthew Cooper.

3. And Seth Masket on convenient anti-majoritarianism.

3 comments:

  1. I trust that Kirk enjoyed his socialized health care.

  2. I thought that was pretty weak from Chait actually. Which is a shame, because his basic point is right.

Actually my main beef with Greenwald is his terrible prose. Although that is typical of my kind of warrant-free-illegal-wiretapping-cheerleading, Geneva-Convention-flouting-abuse-enabling, mindless-tribalism-revelling-in mentality.

  3. I love Seth Masket's post. Very few people care about democratic process as an end rather than a means.

The people who follow politics the most are driven by passionate policy views that they think are necessary for a just society regardless of public opinion.
