First post is up:
Will Scandal Cost Christie the Invisible Primary?
Yes, I got "party actors" and who they are into my first post...just worked out that way. More to come!
Again, my general page over there is also up (will get you first paragraphs of each post, click through for full thing...alas, true blogs just aren't happening any more).
Catch of the Day
And today, beginning with...yeah, still same name and format:
Read Stuff, You Should
What's So Bad About Political Polarization?
Obama Finally Getting His Act Together on Nominations
Republicans Aren't Too Conservative. They're Too Newt.
There were a few requests for keeping links here to posts there, at least until the rss feed shows up (in a few weeks, after their site redesign is launched)...I haven't decided yet, but I'll try to do them today at least, probably by updating this post.
So what are you doing here? Go over and check it out...
Nice new digs, Jonathan.ReplyDelete
Will you be taking your blog roll over there? Because it is one of the best of the best of blog rolls. I hate to see it lost to the history of old blog homes!
Also a picture which is interesting. As a long time reader I'm not sure if that's how I pictured you JB!ReplyDelete
I have enjoyed reading your blog for several years, but I detest the big media blog format which requires you to open every post in a new tab in order to read the whole thing. I'll probably be reading your new place much less frequently because of that.ReplyDelete
Oh, come now. Yes, it's irritating, but JB is worth it.Delete
If you really find it enough of a pain to avoid reading JB, consider googling "full text rss feed" and using one of the resources you will find.Delete
If this is verboten (I'm not sure how much if any an impact this has on metrics, ads, etc), feel free to delete!
Congratulations! I'm looking forward to the RSS feed :-)ReplyDelete
Meanwhile, I'll remind everyone: if you want the comments section over there to work, the best way to make that happen is to flood the zone early (and thanks to the regulars who I've seen over there already!). Nine items up in today's "Read Stuff."ReplyDelete
Happy for you JB, but gonna miss this space! My gateway drug to great poli sci blogging, starting from 2009.ReplyDelete
Gateway drug? Plain Blog is the uncut heroin of polisci blogs.Delete
Gotta disagree with you, Drew. It's pretty sober.Delete
Having been there and looked around, I'll be reading yor posts, but avoiding the comment sections (except maybe for the baseball posts). This was always one of the best comment sections among the blogs I read (the only one, frankly, I'd rank higher is Crooked Timber, but that's a different audience). There are some real nut jobs commenting--taking up a lot of space--in the comment section at Bloomberg. And I'm really sorry about that.ReplyDelete
Agree with this, though it's not totally unexpected. There are a handful of commenters who seem religiously intent on scoring partisan points even if it is only vaguely relevant to the topic of the post. I'm still reading/participating in the comments and hope that some productive discussions can still ensue in spite of the swamping effect you mention.Delete
I also feel a strange nostalgia for backyardfoundry's unhinged race rants.
Bump the need for an RSS feed... though apparently they have one for ALL Bloomberg View articles?ReplyDelete
