One strange choice: why did the GOP give Mike Enzi a high-profile spot (via Klein) to attack health care reform? If the point of the Gang of Six from the Republican point of view is to ultimately show that Obama is an extremist who won't compromise (and why else are Enzi and Grassley there; they aren't looking to cut a deal, are they?), then the trick is to just keep negotiations going forever. How does Enzi going public as a rejectionist help matters? Grassley, we know, has to worry about conservatives back home; does Enzi have similar problems?
Otherwise, it looks like an unforced error to me.
