Snap.

Just before the vote today on the Ensign amendment (limiting lawyer compensation in medical malpractice lawsuits), Barbara Boxer appeared on the Senate floor with a quick point: she observed how quick some Senators are to attack attorneys when the issue is med mal, but whenever any Member of the House or Senator gets in trouble, she noted, the first thing they do is call a lawyer.

(Sorry, no direct quote; I was just watching it on C-SPAN).

I'm sure it wasn't directed at any particular Senator. Certainly not the distinguished Senator from Nevada, Mr. Ensign; I can't imagine why anyone would think of him in that context.
