Elsewhere: Jobs, Romney

At PP, I talked about a focus group that showed people really don't want to believe what Mitt Romney says he wants to do as far as Medicare and taxes. Sounds plausible to me.

And at Greg's place, I discussed a new study about job losses from state and local budget cuts. And made the same plea once again: for an economist to estimate the effects from teachers and others who stay employed but are frightened of losing their jobs. Or at least to explain to me why it doesn't matter, if it doesn't. It certainly seems to me that it could be a huge effect, but then again I'm not an economist.

If all goes well, I should have both a Watergate post and a Friday baseball post tonight, so stick around!
